Suspect arrested in Folkestone town centre after alleged assault in Sandgate Road

A suspect has been arrested after a man was allegedly attacked in a town centre.
Police were called to Sandgate Road in Folkestone at around 8.45am today after reports a victim had been attacked and his assailant had fled the scene by car.
Officers found a 27-year-old man from the Folkestone area nearby and he was arrested on suspicion of assault.
The man remains in custody and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
