Arrests after Folkestone town centre fracas

A row which broke out in a town centre this morning led to the arrest of a duo and one man treated in hospital.
The fracas unfolded outside the old Barclay’s building in Sandgate Road, Folkestone, at about 9am this morning with police being called to the scene shortly after.
Upon attending, officers arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of affray who remain in custody while enquiries continue.
Ambulance crews were also present on the scene, taking a man to a nearby hospital for treatment following the disturbance.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Anyone who witnessed the incident and has yet to speak to officers is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/163741/23.”
