GURKHA musicians proudly showed off their colourful new uniforms during an inspection. The Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas have their own uniforms for the first time - based on traditional Gurkha dress. The cap badge shows inverted kukris over a crown.
The uniforms were unveiled this week at Shorncliffe barracks, Folkestone, as the musicians were inspected by General Sir Sam Cowan, their Colonel Commandant. Thirtyfive members of the band were presented with NATO medals for their service in Bosnia.
