Cheriton: Police search streets following alleged beer theft from convenience store

Police officers searched several streets in Cheriton last night after a man allegedly stole beer and ran from a convenience store.
It was 8.21pm when the police got the call from a newsagents on the High Street.
It was reported a man, aged between 22 and 26, allegedly stole the alcohol worth £10 before making off with it.
A police car was spotted parked in Phillip Road at the time, just two streets away from the main road.
A police spokesman said: "Police officers went the scene to search for the offender but no arrests have been made at this stage."
