Firer wrecks a flat in Tontine Street, Folkestone

A flat in Folkestone town centre was badly damaged by a blaze in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters were called to the property on the first floor of a four-storey building in Tontine Street at 1.01am.
A crew wearing breathing apparatus put out the fire using used a high-pressure hose reel jet.
They then used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke and fumes from the property.
The flat was 80% affected by heat and smoke with around half the property destroyed by the fire. There are no reports of any injuries and the cause is currently unknown.
