A water leak has caused a road to flood and residents have been offered water bottles while emergency repairs take place.
The recent downpour of rain after a long dry spell has caused a main to burst in Cherry Garden Lane, Folkestone .
Crews from Affinity Water were working to stem the water at 2.30pm, by which time a large section of the road was flooded.
Work is still being done to stop the issue.
A spokesman for the utility company confirmed the leak, saying: "We are sorry for any disruption caused by a burst on a four-inch main on the junction of Cherry Garden Lane, Folkstone on Sunday afternoon.
“Our teams are on site working to repair the main. During this time, properties on Cherry Green Lane may experience lower pressure than normal and we have offered to provide bottled water until the repair has been complete.
“We would like to thank customers for their patience whilst repairs are carried out.”
It was not confirmed when the burst main was expected to be fully fixed.
Emergency repairs have also started in Barming, near Maidstone, after sinkholes appeared close to homes in Hermitage Lane.
