Watch out for a mass of confused tourists wandering around Folkestone.
New tourism signs put up in the town this week feature glaring errors on them with one directing people to a place that doesn't even exist.
The signs, which have been placed around the town, refer to the Leas Cliff Hotel erroneously referring to the town's famous events venue the Leas Cliff Hall.
They have began to be shared around social media websites as residents of the town begin to mock their arrival.
Christopher Smith, owner of The Chambers coffee shop in Cheriton Place, took a photo of one of them outside his shop commenting: "Just LOVE the new finger posts outside the coffee shop this morning.
"Pointing left is towards the precinct and right is towards Sandgate and Hythe.
"That means that according to this sign, the Leas (our biggest permanent attraction) is down Sandgate Road towards the Harbour."
"Whilst there is an error on the word 'Hotel' which of course should have read 'Hall', this is being amended." Town centre manager Viv Kenny
Teams from Kent County Council installed the 'finger pointing signs' and were highlighted to Folkestone Town Centre Management who notified the council of the errors this morning.
As well as the wrong Leas Cliff venue being signposted, the signs also send people west towards Sandgate and Hythe when Folkestone Central is to the north of its location.
Town centre manager Viv Kenny said: "Whilst there is an error on the word 'Hotel' which of course should have read 'Hall', this is being amended.
"The finger pointing signs do run consecutively from the Central Station through Castle Hill Avenue through the town and to the Harbour.
"There will be small adjustments on the direction on this one in the photograph for the Leas which again, the installation team are aware of."
A spokesman for Shepway District Council said: "Thank you to everyone who brought the mistakes on two fingerposts along Sandgate Road to our attention.
"We have notified KCC who are responsible for the signs - they will rectify the problem."
KentOnline has contacted KCC for a comment but we are waiting for a repsonse.
