Delays after M20 car fire between Hythe and Channel Tunnel junctions 11 and 11a

A car has caught fire on a busy motorway.
The blaze, which happened on the M20 coastbound between Junction 11, near Hythe, and Junction 11a for the Channel Tunnel at around 8.30 this morning, brought traffic to a halt for around 20 minutes.
A lane was also closed while emergency services brought the fire under control.
All lanes have now been reopened.
A police spokesman said: "We were called at 8.37am to a report of a car on fire on the M20 coast-bound near Junction 11.
"Officers are at the scene assisting Highways England and Kent Fire and Rescue Service."
