Crew puts out car fire in Cheriton Road, Folkestone

A Ford Mondeo was found alight on Cheriton Road, Folkestone, in the early hours of this morning.
One engine attended the scene at 5.30am, and the fire was put out by 6am.
The car was found at the junction with Cornwallis Avenue and police also attended.
No injuries were reported.
A police spokesman confirmed that they were called to the spot by firefighters and that a silver Ford Mondeo had been damaged by fire.
The spokesman said: "Police are treating the fire as suspicious and the vehicle has been recovered. Anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area is asked to phone Kent Police on 01843 222289 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting crime number ZY/4840/16."
