A man has been arrested on suspicion of burgling a charity shop and was found hiding behind a clothes rack.
Police were called at about 1am yesterday to a report that a window in the front door had been smashed in the Cancer Research shop in Sandgate Road, Folkestone.
The 48-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been bailed to return to the police station on Sunday, January 29 "pending further inquiries", police said.
Kent Police is running a campaign to help prevent burglaries and target those responsible.
It is called Operation Castle and seeks to tackle the expected increase in the number of burglaries committed at this time of year.
It runs until Friday January, 13.
