Fire crews tackled a blaze in a three-storey house in Folkestone last night, which saw flames engulf the roof.
Crews were called to the home in Linden Crescent at 7.34pm following reports thick black smoke was coming from the rear of the property.
The well developed blaze had broken out in a second floor bedroom.
The flames then spread to the roof.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel jet to successfully extinguish the fire.
All occupants of the home were accounted for and no injuries are reported.
The incident was one of 12 that members of Kent Fire and Rescue saw to during their period of strike yesterday.
Firefighters are planning a third strike today between 10am-3pm.
