A drug dealer involved in a county line known as “Mr King” tried to run away from police.

Lueul Ehdego was arrested by officers in Folkestone after being seen acting suspiciously in Cheriton Road.

Officers who were in plain clothes were on patrol in the road in November last year when they spotted Ehdego.

They attempted to stop him but he ran off and was chased and arrested by police nearby.

As he ran, he was seen to drop objects, one of which was found to be a package containing 38 wraps of cocaine and heroin.

After searching the area further, a phone was found and an analysis of it showed it had been used to run the “Mr King” county line in the area between September and November 2022.

Ehdego, of Lonbay Drive, New Romney, was charged with and later convicted of being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine.

The 26-year-old was jailed for five years and six months at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday.

“The tenacity of patrolling officers in Folkestone, and the thorough investigation which followed Ehdego’s arrest, has helped secure this conviction and take a county line dealer off the town's streets for a number of years.”
