Images have emerged of what appears to be black mould growing on the ceiling of a town centre sports shop.
A series of photos said to have been taken at Sports Direct in Folkestone’s Bouverie Place reportedly show dark patches above the shop floor.
The firm has been contacted for comment.
Pictures show discoloured areas above strip lighting spanning almost the length of an aisle, while a corner of the ceiling above Nike T-shirts also appears to harbour mould.
After the snaps circulated on social media some shoppers expressed their disgust on Facebook’s Folkestone Residents Group.
Becky Jane said: “Beats me how they can sell clothes in these conditions – crazy.
“Let's hope they sort it out.”
Emma Hams added: “I would report that to the council as mould spores will be sticking to the clothes.”
User Planet Earth Kitchen said: “That’s disgusting.”
