A stretch of the A20 was closed after a multi-vehicle crash.
The westbound carriageway was shut between the B2011 turn-off for Capel-le-Ferne and the A260 turn-off for Hawkinge.
Emergency services were in attendance and National Highways traffic officers assisted with traffic management.
A diversion route was put in place while crews were at the scene, and drivers were warned to expect delays.
The incident has now been cleared and all lanes have reopened.
