England fan run over after car bonnet stunt

A video has emerged of an England supporter being run over after jumping on a car.

The drama happened in Folkestone's Harbour Street this evening.

Police are now investigating.

Shocked onlookers watched as the pair swept past on the bonnet in high spirits before the car reaches a pedestrian crossing.

It comes as hundreds of England fans took to the streets in Maidstone, flooding Jubilee Square and the High Street.

Narrowly missing people on the crossing one of the men fell off the car, before the wheel appeared to go over his leg.

The extent of any injuries are not known but in the clip he appears unhurt and moves off.

Folkestone's Harbour Arm had earlier set up an arena to show the match.

A state-of-the-art LED panel screen measures in at 7.5 metres by 4 metres, has been showing every game.

A police spokesman said: "We received a report regarding an incident of bad driving in Harbour Street, Folkestone on Saturday 7 July and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."
