Members of Extinction Rebellion will come together today in Folkestone to raise awareness of climate change.
The action, titled Make the Wave, is being held to "remind our government and world leaders at the G7 that climate crisis is urgent".
The Folkestone event will be held from 12pm-3pm at the harbour and Mermaid Beach. It is not known how many people will attend, but a procession is expected to take place.
It is part of a UK wide event across the coast urging those at G7 to 'act now'.
The summit will see world leaders from some of the most influential countries meet this weekend to discuss major global issues.
Hosted this year by the UK, the gathering will take place from 11-13 June in the seaside resort of Carbis Bay in Cornwall.
The government hopes the summit will "unite leading democracies to help the world fight and then build back better from coronavirus and create a greener, more prosperous future".
According to their website, Extinction Rebellion is "an international movement that uses non-violent civil disobedience in an attempt to halt mass extinction and minimise the risk of social collapse".
