A sore head, a red face and a £90 fine were the likely results of a night out in Folkestone for one woman who was discovered in an alleyway with no trousers on.

The 35-year-old was spotted by police officers patrolling Sandgate Road late on Friday night.

But when the coppers tried to help the unfortunate reveller she "ran off and fell over and started to shout and scream," a police spokesman revealed.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly in a public place and was detained at Folkestone Police Station for nine hours.

She was given a £90 fixed penalty notice before being released.
