Firefighters were called to a blazing wooden framed building.
They arrived to find the external cladding alight.
Crews were called to The Esplanade in Sandgate shortly before 2.40pm today.
They cut away part of the external wall and some of the internal wall to gain access to the fire and the wall cavity.
They put out the flames with a hosereel jet and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots within the wall cavity.
Crews were at the scene for nearly an hour and it is now believed that the fire was accidental.
