Fire crews battle house blaze in Folkestone

Fire crews are investigating after firefighters had to battle a house blaze near a primary school.
Four fire engines were called to Appledore Crescent in Folkestone early this morning following reports of the fire.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled and extinguished a fire on the ground floor of the house, which is close to Harcourt Primary School.
A fire services spokeswoman said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a house fire in Appledore Crescent in Folkestone.
"Four fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished a fire on the ground floor.
"An investigation into the cause is underway."
This is the second house fire in the area in two days, after crews remained at the scene of a huge fire in Hythe overnight.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to assist Kent Fire and Rescue Service at the scene of a fire in Appledore Crescent, Folkestone at 7.35am today.
"Officers remain at the scene providing assistance."
