Firefighters were this lunchtime tackling a flat fire on the fourth floor of Metropole Court in Folkestone.
Two fire engines from Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at midday to reports of a blaze in a flat in the former Metropole hotel.
Crews entered the building wearing breathing apparatus and rescued two men suffering the effects of breathing in smoke and passed in to the care of paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service.
Firefighers also used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
A KFRS spokesman said the cause of the fire is currently unknown and the scene was cleared at 12.30pm.
It is the third fire in the last 36 hours after Asda in Bouverie Place was evacuated yesterday morning and a fuse box caught light at a house in St Michael's Street.
