Train delays and cancellations between Ashford International and Dover Priory due to sheep on tracks at Sandling

A flock of 40 sheep caused a nuisance on the railway - resulting in cancellations and delays to services.
Police and a farmer had to work together to herd the wandering animals off the tracks at Sandling, near Folkestone .
Train services between Ashford and Dover were suspended as a result.
The livestock got onto the tracks at about 10am.
Services were affected until about 12pm, when the sheep were cleared.
The Sandling incident comes after a train derailment in Tonbridge shortly before 7am.
