00:00, 11 April 2002
CROWNS created with dahlias, roses and gladioli rather than diamonds, rubies and gold will be on show in Folkestone on Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14.
The Folkestone Flower Arrangers Club has organised a show with the theme being Fifty Glorious Years, a celebration of the Queen's reign.
The event is being staged at The Grand on the Saturday between 2pm and 6pm with a trophy presentation at 4.30pm and is open all day on Sunday between 10am and 5pm.
Admission is £1. Plants and flowers will be for sale and there will also be a tombola and raffle held in aid of the Pilgrim's Hospice at Ashford.
