Guests, dressed in traditional get-up gathered on Saturday to commemorate the 1927 opening of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, affectionately known as the “Romney.”

These scenes show the re-enactment of the inaugural opening, where those who played a part in the Romney’s success were honoured.

A special working timetable, live 1920s jazz, workshops, a photo exhibition and locomotive displays played out over the weekend, also coinciding with the launch of the railway’s latest book, Romney – Then and Now.
