Gas leak at Church Road, Cheriton

Residents have been allowed to return to their homes following a serious gas leak in Folkestone.
A 60m cordon was thrown around Church Road in Cheriton following a report of gas leaking from a pipe in the road at around 2.40pm.
Police and two fire engines were called to the scene along with engineers from Southern Gas Networks.
Officers sealed off the area at the junction of Kings Road while the work was carried out.
The leak has now been found and fixed.
A police spokesman said: "Residents who were earlier advised to leave their properties, as a precaution, can return to their homes and a police cordon at the junction of Kings Road has now been removed."
