Man arrested after window smashed at Golden Nails in Cheriton high street

A nail salon’s door was smashed after a chair was thrown at it.
Police were called to Golden Nails in Cheriton High Street, Folkestone, at about 3.45pm yesterday following the disturbance.
It's understood a man used a chair to smash the glass in the shop's front door after being asked to leave.
Police were called and a 32-year-old man from Folkestone was arrested.
The man was injured in the incident and was taken to hospital for treatment before being taken into custody where he remains while inquiries continue.
Despite the damaged door, Golden Nails is open as usual today.
Speaking on Facebook, bosses at the salon said: “I’m so sorry for the incident that happened to our shop.
“We tried our best to make sure our customers felt safe and secure.
“But what happened today, I’ve never ever seen before.
“So I do apologise about that and thank you so much for your patience and continuously supporting us.”
A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 3.44pm on Thursday to a report of a disturbance in Cheriton High Street where a shop front was damaged.
“A 32-year-old man from Folkestone was arrested. As he had sustained an injury during the incident, he was taken to hospital for treatment before being taken into custody.”
