Eurotunnel passengers and freight delayed due to 'unplanned tunnel inspection'
10:00, 04 August 2015
There are long queues at the Eurotunnel terminal after an "unplanned tunnel inspection".
Both tunnels are now open, but the waiting time for passengers is now up to four hours from Folkestone and two hours from Calais.
There is also a wait of up to half an hour at the freight Eurotunnel service at Folkestone.
Rob Haycocks, spokesman for Eurostar, said: "Our services have been impacted by some small delays because a part of the tunnel could not operate."
Eurotunnel tweeted at 3.15pm: "End of tunnel inspection. Both tunnels are now fully open."
