Hundreds of spectators headed to the harbour this morning for the annual Folkestone Trawler Race.
The historic event kicked off around midday, with trawlers battling each other out to win the main race.
But there could only be one winner and Barmy Army took the title.
The festival included a demonstration by the RNLI and visits from lifeboat crews.
There’s also a host of other activities down the Stade, including music, stalls and entertainment.
But the free fun does also have a serious side. It aims to encourage people to support their local fishermen, buy fresh fish and highlight the importance of the area’s fishing heritage.
Share your pictures and stories of the event by sending them to vcastle@thekmgroup.co.uk. Or join in the conversation on our Facebook page.
