'Illegal immigrant' found dead in the back of a lorry in Sellindge

A suspected illegal immigrant has been found dead in the back of a HGV after it pulled up at a lorry park this morning.
The emergency services were called at about 8.30am today, to the A20 Airport Cafe lorry park in Sellindge.
Owner of the lorry park and the Airport Cafe, opposite, Pat Breen said: "There was a lorry that came in and there was an illegal immigrant in the back that had passed away."
A police spokesman said: "Officers and the ambulance service attended and a man in the rear of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
"It is believed the lorry had travelled from France and inquiries are ongoing to identify the man and ascertain the cause of death."
Two ambulance cars and an ambulance attended.
Firefighters were also called to the lorry park to help police.
A spokesman said their crews helped police to "remove a load from the rear of the lorry using a forklift truck".
A Home Office spokesman said: “We are aware of this tragic incident and are ready to assist Kent Police with their investigation. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this early stage.”
