Cause of fire at Merlin Court in Tontine Street, Folkestone, investigated after Kent Fire and Rescue Service put out blaze

An investigation is under way to find the cause of a fire at flats in Folkestone.
Fire engines from Folkestone and Dover were called to attend the blaze at Merlin Court in Tontine Street last night.
Firefighters arrived at 6.15pm to find bins at the flats on fire which was spreading to the building.
Crews spent around two hours extinguishing and bringing the blaze under control.
A spokesman from Folkestone fire station said: "The bins were alight and the rear of the property was alight. It was going quite well.
"The cause is unknown but is being investigated."
They used hoses and breathing apparatus to put the fire out.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
