Just Eat delivery drivers are due to go on strike today in Folkestone over cuts to pay.
A group of drivers met at the Sainsbury's car park in Park Farm Road to discuss the issue, before sending an email to Just Eat explaining they would not work the next day.
Just Eat driver Vio, 32, explained they were due to meet again tomorrow, and hoped to be joined by more drivers backing the cause.
"We're all drivers in Folkestone and we're self employed," he said. "We had a meeting today and there were about 15 to 20 people, but in the Whatsapp group there are about 45, so we're expecting more tomorrow.
"I've worked for them for three years. The money was okay when I started but now they want to pay us less money.
"It used to be £7.50 for between 2.5 and three miles. Now it's £6. It's quite a lot less. They didn't tell us they were changing the pay.
"It's not fair - the price of fuel is rising, everything is growing - how can we survive when we're self employed?"
A Just Eat spokesperson commented: “We take any concerns raised by our couriers seriously. Our delivery payment model has been designed to give couriers the flexibility to deliver when they choose. We continue to offer a competitive base rate to self-employed couriers and pay is reviewed regularly."
