Long queues are building on a motorway as a key tunnel has shut in both directions due to a “technical issue”.
There are delays on the M20 approach to the Roundhill Tunnel in Folkestone.
National Highways has said shut down both sides of the carriageway, causing queuing traffic.
A spokesman said: “The A20 Round Hill Tunnel in Kent is closed in both directions between A260 near Hawkinge and the M20/A259 near Folkestone due to a technical issue.”
“Engineers are on scene to fix the issue.”
Road users are advised to follow the hollow circle diversion symbol on road signs if heading eastbound.
More on this as we have it.
