Two men arrested and drugs seized in county lines drugs operation in Folkestone

Two machete-style knives, drugs and cash were seized during a raid on a house in Folkestone .

Officers investigating suspected county lines activity carried out the warrant at the property in Sandgate Road yesterday morning.

A quantity of suspected crack cocaine, two machete-style knives, cash and mobile phones were taken by police.

In addition, a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both from the Folkestone area, were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Both men have been bailed until Wednesday, September 16.

County lines is where illegal drugs are transported from one area to another, often across police and local authority boundaries, usually by children or vulnerable people who are coerced into it by gangs.

The ‘county line’ is the mobile phone line used to take the orders of drugs.
