Road closed around Folkestone Central station for Cheriton Road bridge repairs

Motorists have been warned to expect disruption around Folkestone Central station this week due to work to the railway bridge.

Cheriton Road will be closed until Saturday, August 6 with no access between the junctions with Castle Hill Avenue and Radnor Park Road.

Pedestrian access will be kept in place for the duration of the works which start at 8am tomorrow until 7am next Saturday.

A diversion for drivers will be place northbound via Cheriton Road, Foresters Way, Grace Hill, Foord Road and Radnor Park Road.

In the opposite direction the diversion will be via Radnor Park Road, Pavilion Road, Black Bull Road, Foord Road, New Street, Bradstone Road, Dover Road, Grace Hill, Shellons Street, Middelburg Square, Cheriton Gardens, Shorncliffe Road and Castle Hill Avenue.
