Man appears in court after injured woman found in Underhill Road, Cheriton, after serious assault

A suspect has appeared in court after a woman suffered facial injuries in a serious assault.
An air ambulance landed near Underhill Road in Cheriton, Folkestone, after the victim was found at about 10.30am on Saturday.
She was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
Police arrested a man, who is known to the victim, and was held in custody.
Kieron Deacy, of Marine Parade, Hythe, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and breaching a restraining order.
The 26-year-old appeared before Margate Magistrates' Court today and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on September 9.
