'Wanted foreign prisoner' arrested on M20 after being found on motorway near Channel Tunnel at Folkestone

A suspected on-the-run foreign prisoner has been arrested on the M20 early today.
The African national, 23, was held by police on the motorway near the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone.
He told officers he was wanted in his native country after fleeing prison for a serious offence.
Police had been called to reports the man was walking on the London-bound carriageway at about 2.30am.
He was found on the M20 between J13 and J12, close to the cross-Channel terminal.
A police spokesman said he was arrested on suspicion of entering Britain illegally.
He remains in custody while enquiries continue.
