Man left with head injury after being attacked in Grace Hill, Folkestone, by stranger who had been ‘speaking loudly into phone’

A man was left with a head injury after being attacked by a stranger in a tracksuit who had been “speaking loudly into a phone”.

Police were called to the top of the steps between Foord Road South and Grace Hill, near the roundabout with Foresters Way, in Folkestone at 6am on Tuesday.

Officers and paramedics attended and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as being around 5ft 7in, white, in his early to mid-30s, of slim build, with short dark hair and a beard.

He was wearing a blue tracksuit and is believed to have been speaking loudly into a phone shortly before the incident, according to police.

Officers are investigating the incident and urging anyone who saw what happened or may have relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
