Hythe man David Fisher charged with shoplifting and assault of three people in Folkestone ASDA

A man has been charged after stealing alcohol and assaulting people in a supermarket.
The Saturday, October 26 incident saw bottles of whisky and brandy stolen from the Bouverie Place Asda in Folkestone.
The culprit also attacked three people in the store and, once apprehended, they found he was in possession of a folding knife.
David Fisher, of Palmer Drive in Hythe, was charged the following day with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two further counts of assault, theft of alcohol, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
He was released on bail after appearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court via virtual link on Monday.
The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on 25 November 2019.
