Man hit by car in Folkestone town centre

A cyclist has been taken to hospital with a leg injury after he was hit by a car in a town centre.
The ambulance service was called just before 9.30am today to Clifton Gardens, near Sandgate Road, in Folkestone.
Two ambulance vehicles were sent and the man, in his 60s, was rushed to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said: "We responded to reports a person was hit by a car and suffered a leg injury.
"We had an ambulance crew in a car and an ambulance attend and the male pedestrian was assessed and treated at the scene."
A police spokesman said: "The vehicle stopped and there have been no arrests."
