Man taken to hospital after fire at Folkestone flat in Dover Road as 15 emergency vehicles attend

A man has been rushed to hospital this morning with burns following a flat fire in Folkestone.
Around 15 vehicles from the emergency services were called at around 9.30am to the first floor flat in Dover Road, Folkestone, near to Payers Park.
Grace Hill has also been closed off by police causing traffic disruption around the town centre.
The man, who is in his 40s, suffered burns and the effects of breathing in smoke before being taken to hospital.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "On arrival crews were faced with a fire in a first floor flat of a three storey property.
"Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze and used a ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property."
They added that the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
Police were also called to manage the traffic while the road is closed.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police, along with Kent Fire and Rescue Service and SECAMB is currently at the scene of a fire at a flat in Dover Road, Folkestone.
"We were called at 9.30am. One man has been taken to hospital.
"Officers are at the scene assisting with road closures."
