Folkestone crash: Man trapped after crash on Dover Road

A man and woman were rushed to hospital after a car crash in Folkestone this morning.
Emergency services were called to the incident, involving a red VW Golf and grey Ford Fiesta, in Dover Road shortly after 11.30am.
Firefighters cut the man free from his car while the road was closed at the junction with St Michael's Street until around 1.30pm.
He suffered back injuries and the woman, who is seven months pregnant, escaped with cuts and bruises.
Both were assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital by road as a precaution.
The air ambulance, also called to the scene, reportedly landed on the East Cliff.
Firefighters left Dover Road at around 12.15pm.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 11.22am on Wednesday to a report of a collision involving a red VW Golf and grey Ford Fiesta on Dover Road, Folkestone.
"Officers attended and a road closure was in place but has now been lifted."
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance, said:"Ambulance crews and the air ambulance service attended the scene following reports of a crash at approximately 11.30am today.
"Two patients, a man and a woman, were assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital by road.
"The man was suffering from back pain."
