Tributes paid to Jason Milnes, 26, from Hythe who died in a three-vehicle crash on Friday

The Hythe motorcyclist who died in a crash "spread happiness and joy to everybody he met."

Jason Edward Milnes, 26, died when his white Honda motorcycle was involved in a collision on the A20 Ashford Road in Newingreen on Friday.

It happened outside the Airport Cafe along the Ashford Road between A261 Hythe Road and Swan Lane.

Today his family issued a tribute to the "greatest son a mum and dad could ever have had."

The tribute said: "The greatest son a mum and dad could ever have had and loving brother to his two sisters.

'He was adored for his unique outlook on life and selfless persona...'

"He was adored for his unique outlook on life and selfless persona by family and a huge amount of friends of all ages, with a contagious ability to spread happiness and joy to everybody he met."

Mr Milnes was confirmed into the Church of England and went to Saltwood and Archbishops schools.

The statement continued: "Jason had ridden motorcycles since he was three-years-old and also had been known for his pedal bike prowess.

"He played golf in the junior Kent league and had been a keen kite surfer with his dad since 11-years-old.

"He had worked for Bam Nuttall over the last six years as tunnel mechanical fitter on the Tottenham Court Road and Victoria Line Station Upgrade Projects for London Underground.

"His life was ended in a tragic motorcycle collision midday on Friday and will be terribly missed by all who knew him. God Bless."

It is reported the motorbike and a white Isuzu 4x4 collided near to Red House Farm before the motorbike then collided with a blue Volvo lorry parked in a nearby layby.

The police continues to appeal for witnesses to the collision, which took place just after midday.

A police spokesman said: “Officers are now keen to speak to anyone who may have information about the collision.

“In particular, they would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the vehicles in moments leading up to the collision.”
