One-eyed sheep Nelson from Cole Farm, Hawkinge, caught on camera playing with a rottweiller, jack russell and two border collies

An unlikely group of friends have been caught on camera frolicking on a farm.
Nelson, a one-eyed sheep from Cole Farm, in Hawkinge, has formed an unusual bond with a rottweiller, a jack russell and two border collies.
Nelson was raised as a sock lamb after she was found by Roxy the rottweiller moments away from death in a hedge, with one of her eyes missing after it was savagely pecked by a crow.

The video was captured by Sam Castle, who runs the farm, who spotted the unusual moment while she was preparing the field for an upcoming bootcamp.
Sam, 30, said: "It’s quite normal for me to see but my partner thought it was hilarious and started filming them. I guess I am used to it now because it’s how they’ve always been, but it must look a bit odd!"
Sam explained that the improbable friendship started when Nelson - a ewe named after Admiral Lord Nelson who lost the sight in one eye - was raised as a sock lamb.
VIDEO: Nelson has made some unusual friends.
Two years ago, Nelson was found moments away from death after she had been born in a hedgerow, had her eye savagely pecked out by a crow and been abandoned by her mum.
Sam added: "We were out walking the dogs one morning when Roxy ran over to a hedgerow right at the back of the field and started barking.
"I went over to see what was going on and found this tiny little newborn lamb lying in the hedgerow, probably about half an hour away from death.
"Her mum was nowhere to be seen and the rest of the flock weren’t even in that field so I was really shocked to see her lying there, barely alive.
"We brought her in the house, nursed her back to health and raised her as a sock-lamb [a lamb raised by hand and domesticated].
"When she was healthy enough we tried to put her back out with the rest of the sheep but she just wanted to stay on the yard with the dogs she had befriended and she has been bouncing around with them ever since!
"They really are great friends. When we drive into the yard with the dogs in the car, Nelson is usually bouncing around ready to greet them as they get out.
"It is very sweet to watch them play together, and very funny. I reckon she thinks she’s one of them!"
Nelson can be seen bouncing around with her pals at the upcoming Cole Farm Bootcamp, a series of fitness classes training potential Tough Mudder participants in an authentic muddy training course, starting January 19.
