Firefighters saved the night for an elderly woman who was locked in her flat and required medical attention.
The woman, thought to be in her 80s, was due to be treated by the ambulance service but the paramedics could not get into her home.
Firefighters were called at 4am today where they helped the woman open the door.
Folkestone watch manager Vic Thorogood said: "We just helped her unlock it.
"The ambulance called us because she needed their care and they couldn't get into the flat."
The woman was then passed onto the ambulance service.
