Cancer Research UK's Pink Army battle elements in The Leas, Folkestone for the Race for Life

Determined not to let the rain dampen their spirits, scores of pink-clad women headed to The Leas this morning to make a stand against cancer.

The Pink Army are battling the elements today as they take part in Cancer Research UK's (CRUK) 5k Race for Life.

Hundreds of women of all ages are taking part in the Folkestone fundraiser, including cancer survivors and family members who have lost loved ones to the disease.
