Cannabis farm found during police raid in Folkestone

Police found nearly 300 cannabis during a raid at a property in Folkestone.

Officers discovered the plants covering four rooms of the building in the Morehall Avenue area of Cheriton.

They were said to be in various stages of growth.

Officers seized the plants and dismantled the growing equipment.

The raid happened during an unspecified time on Wednesday morning.

Sergeant Greg Pochin, the Folkestone Community Policing Team (CPT), said: "The warrant was carried out following concerns of drug use in the area.

"We take a robust stance to tackling drug-related crime and those responsible for it, so we encourage the public to keep reporting any suspicious behaviour."
