True Briton pub in Folkestone welcomes new owners
14:35, 01 September 2017
The True Briton, located near the bottom of the old High Street in Folkestone, has been sold on to new owners.
Previously owned by Kevin Gillespie, the substantial end of terrace property which features an open plan main bar, small stage for live music and first floor 50 cover restaurant is prominently positioned for passing trade.
It also features a recently refurbished one bedroom studio flat, which is currently being let out.
James Hughes of Christie & Co’s Maidstone office who handled the sale said: “Due to its locality, this property represented a great opportunity for an operator to acquire a very successful business and we received a good amount of interest.
"We have no doubt that new owners, Ben and Lucy Cuthbert, will continue to grow the business from strength to strength and wish them well with their new venture.”
Ben and Lucy Cuthbert add, “We look forward to taking over the helm at The True Briton and continuing the good work that Kevin put in.”
