Robbery at Folkestone Post Office on Dover Road

A woman was reportedly threatened with a knife after a hooded robber entered a Post Office in Folkestone.
An investigation has been launched into the reported robbery in Dover Road.
At around 5pm last night, a man entered a the premises and demanded money from staff.
The security alarm was activated and the suspect left empty-handed.
The suspect was described as a white man aged in his 30s, with a slim to medium build.
He was reportedly wearing a black scarf over his face, a black hooded top with the hood up, black trousers and dark coloured gloves.
Officers attended the scene and remain in the area to identify potential lines of enquiry including reviewing CCTV opportunities and carrying out house-to-house enquiries.
Witnesses are being sought by investigating officers, and anyone who might have CCTV or dashcam footage in the Dover Road area is asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/34707/19.

A Post Office spokeswoman said: “We were incredibly concerned to hear about the incident in the Dover Road Post Office yesterday.
"While this is now a police matter, we will of course support them in any way possible to apprehend those responsible.
