Fight at East Kent Arms in Folkestone

A pool ball and a bar stool were thrown after a man was punched in a Folkestone pub.

The victim, aged in his 60s, was allegedly attacked by a younger man at the East Kent Arms in the town centre.

He needed stitches after being punched several times by the attacker, said to be a man in his 20s.

The victim was in the toilets of the Sandgate Road pub between 10pm and 10.30pm on Saturday, February 25 when the attack happened.

He suffered a cut to his head and bruising to his face before being taken to hospital.

It is reported the attacker was a white man with short brown hair and in smart clothing, police said.

He was wearing a dark top and jeans.

In a fracas after the attack when the suspect was asked to leave the pub it is reported he threw a pool ball and a bar stool causing damage to a window.

Police are now hunting the attacker and are appealing for witnesses in the pub at the time to come forward with information.
