Police are said to be looking for two youths seen filming a fire at a pre-school.
The fire, believed to have been started deliberately, struck Little Oaks at Parkfield Road, Folkestone, at 10pm last night.
Andy Batchelor, crew manager for Folkestone Fire Station, said: “When we arrived we saw two youths filming the scene.
“This fire is believed to be deliberate and we understand that police want to speak to these two.”
The blaze, on the site of the Stella Maris Primary School, struck a mobile classroom and neighbouring storage shed.
Two fire engines from Folkestone were called and firefighters tackled the blaze wearing breathing apparatus and using a hosereel jet.
They were at the scene for an hour and a half.
The shed was completely destroyed and the classroom was quarter-damaged by flames and smoke-logged.
Firefighters also had to struggle to salvage the contents of children’s equipment in the building.
