A man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting two women before climbing onto a roof - and staying there for nine hours.
The 30-year-old from Folkestone is said to have assaulted the women in the early hours of the morning.
Shortly after police were called to the incident in Folkestone, the man was spotted on the roof of a building in nearby Dover Road, at 2am.
Police and fire crews stationed themselves outside the building, while the man remained on the roof for about nine hours.
Dover Road was closed by police while the incident was ongoing, "to ensure public safety".
But police have confirmed the man is now off the roof, and has been arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage and obstructing police.
Neither of the women required medical treatment following the alleged assault.
The man remains in custody, and police are continuing to investigate the incident.
